15 February 2024 – The port of Aden welcomes the maiden call of the Chinese shipping line Sea LEGEND to Aden container terminal, establishing a connection between Nansha Port in China and the Port of Aden.

MV TB ANPING, with the LOA 197 meters, carried goods destined for the local Yemeni market of 406 TEU.

On behalf of Dr. Mohammed Emzrabah, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Aden Ports Development Company, and Mr. Aref Al-Shaabi, the General Manager of Aden container terminal, the Commercial Manager, accompanied by the local shipping agent have welcomed the captain and crew on their first visit to the Port of Aden. The Ship’s Captain and the crew have expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the excellent service at the Port of Aden, starting from pilotage and guidance to container handling services.

The arrival of the TB ANPING marks the inauguration of operations for the Chinese line Sea LEGEND shipping company, establishing direct connections between export ports in China to the Port of Aden, which will significantly impact on the transit time and freight costs.
